In 1976, the housing ministry Cornerstone was formed by members of an urban church to address a need for stable, low-income housing in the city.
Many families move many times a year. The resulting lifestyle is especially hard on the kids, who may have to keep switching schools. Our vision is for a housing ministry providing safe, stable, and affordable housing--a sheltered opportunity for individuals with jobs to live in one place for a while and establish good credit. Over the years, many of our tenants have been able to "graduate"--to move to their own homes.
This is my home."
